Classes Descriptions
Body Conditioning
Body Conditioning is a brilliant workout, solely based on improving and focusing on specific muscle group. This is a class to attend regularly as you can see results week on week.
Body Toning
A body toning class is suitable for all levels of fitness. You will work your whole body starting with some pulse racing exercises followed by resistance work with dumbbells and bands. The music is great and the instructor will motivate you to work hard and enjoy your workout!
Circuits
A circuit class with a difference! A total body workout using battle ropes, dumbbells, bosu, swiss balls, hoops and even a small trampoline. The class is for everyone as there is so much equipment to choose from and so many different exercise options you are guaranteed an effective workout!
Group Cycle
Join us in our new Group Cycle Studio! Group Cycle is a high intensity exercise class on a stationary bike, focusing on endurance and strength intervals with short periods of recovery. The music will motivate you and the instructor will keep you on track for a fantastic effective workout!
Group Personal Training
A gym-based workout in a small group with a gym instructor helping you exercise safely but effectively. The focus is on working all the main muscle groups using a wide variety of equipment, particular focus on core strength and also improving your balance.
Jen’s Dance
Join Jen as she teaches and designs her own routine for you to dance to. Jen uses all of the latest hits and classics for her class, to keep you energised and wanting more!
Line Dancing
Line Dancing is an upbeat, short choreographed dance class designed to get you moving! This dance is unpartnered and is for everyone! All abilities are welcome, including those who have never tried Line Dancing before. The nature of the dance is easy for all to grasp.
Pickleball
Pickleball is one of the world’s fastest growing sports! All abilities welcome, including beginners. The game is a mix of Badminton and Tennis with the ball being plastic and perforated, designed purposefully to make the game challenging and enjoyable.
Pilates
Pilates is a low impact exercise class that works the entire body using controlled movements, performed at an easy pace. The movements will improve core and body strength, mobility, balance and flexibility resulting in a feeling of relaxation. The classes are suitable for all ability levels, as adaptations/progressions are encouraged to guarantee a bespoke workout for all!
Power-hour
A gym-based workout led by a vastly experienced fitness instructor encouraging and motivating all participants to work hard using both cardio and strength training exercises with the gym equipment. The time is split into 4-minute sessions where you will focus on performing at your highest level getting the most benefit from your workout. The energetic instructor will keep you on your toes!
Seated Exercise
A safe, effective all body workout from a seated position utilising dumbbells, body bands and balls. There is also some seated ball work involved, drawing on other motor skills such as co-ordination and reaction time. The objective of the class is to exercise, have fun and make friends. Tea and coffee is included!
Stretch & Tone
Stretch and Tone is a low impact and low intensity class designed to improve flexibility and muscle tone. A range of different equipment is used to reach these goals.
Trim and Tone
A total body workout for all levels incorporating elements of cardio, strength and core work in a very relaxed environment. During this workout all muscle groups are targeted and each week the equipment used varies. This can range from dumbbells, body bands, small pilates balls and also the swiss (big) balls. A friendly group of participants that are always helping and encouraging each other!
Yoga
Join some of the best instructors in the area whilst they improve all aspects of your mind, body and soul. Yoga has been around for thousands of years in order to improve people’s quality of life. Benefits include better sleep, posture, mental health and stress reduction.
Zumba
Zumba is a great workout for anyone, the class is designed for all fitness levels and abilities. Follow the instructor whilst they dance to the rhythm of the music. Zumba is both low-intensity and high-intensity for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance. Benefits include improved cardiovascular fitness, muscle conditioning, balance, flexibility and boosted energy.
